In this episode, we’re joined by Oscar, Justen, and Alonso, the regular crew, along with our special guest and good friend, DJ Durakes, also known as Cheeto, aka Jose Cerritos. We dive into how he got the nickname “Cheeto”, why it stuck, and how we met. Cheeto shares his love for DJing, how he got started, and what drives him. He even recounts a memorable moment from high school when he opened for DJ BLEND and Afroman. We also discuss Cheeto’s passion for Dance Dance Revolution (DDR), and how he became one of the top DDR players in Utah. As well as how working at an arcade sparked that interest. Beyond his DJ and DDR skills, Cheeto opens up about the challenges and rewards of fatherhood, sharing some of his best moments as a dad.
